Franck Cammas, winner: “Jérémie Beyou’s option under spinnaker was decisive. Especially since he had sailed quite nicely all day, but this ten-meter option he took did not work out well for him. In 2000, my victory was easier. Today we had to wait until the last minute to know the winner. I am sure sailing on multihull 60’ is advantageous when taking part in the Trophée Clairefontaine. But most of all, you need to be in total cohesion with your crew to win. Therefore I am very happy to share this victory with Stève Ravussin and Pierre Pennec.”

Jérémie Beyou, second of the overall ranking: "I have no regrets regarding the last leg. It was really a pleasure sailing the Trophée Clairefontaine. Our strategy today was to attack on the starting lines. We have perfectly achieved it. But Franck Cammas was steadier. He actually is a regular of the event! I hope I will come back because it really was nice to be invited and to sail all together. We usually see each other on various circuits but it is very pleasant to all meet up on these regattas. It is quite crowded on the water and there is a lot of conviviality."

Loïck Peyron, third of the overall ranking: "A few words defining these last two-day race: friendly, top level, thrilling, hazardous. But above all things, the Trophée Clairefontaine is just fascinating!"

Mike Sanderson, fourth of the overall ranking: "I had a lot of fun on the Trophée Clairefontaine. Unfortunately, today was not the best for me. Things went better yesterday because the legs were longer and the wind stronger. I would love to come back!

Jean-Pierre Dick, fifth of the overall ranking: " In its whole, this Trophée Clairefontaine was very nice. I came with a good state of mind, I just wanted to have fun. I felt a little tension between the competitors. We all tried to make the most out of our catamaran. I am happy to rank in front of big champions such as Michel Desjoyeaux et Pascal Bidégorry."

Pascal Bidégorry, sixth of the overall ranking: "We have made progress compared to last year, and we finish the last leg second. I will therefore keep in memory a nice moment. We had fun on the Trophée Clairefontaine. We might have lacked a little opportunism. We are all getting used to the boats. It was also very nice having some wind on the Raids."

Vincent Riou, seventh of the overall ranking: "Today was better than yesterday for us. We are happy. We had a lot of fun on the Trophée Clairefontaine. We could have done better but that is just the way races go, days with and days without!"

Michel Desjoyeaux, eighth of the overall ranking: "We had no inspiration at all. When it does not want to work, it does not. There is no use insisting. I would of course like to come back but, due to my ranking, I am not sure to be invited again to the Trophée Clairefontaine!"
